Science has confirmed that 80% of brain growth in a child takes place at the age of 0-3 years. This is therefore the critical period of shaping the child’s character to develop to full potential.
Having adequate information on the best way to nurture a child is therefore very critical in parenting/care giving.
For this reason,led by the Smart Start Siaya Patron H.E Rosella Rasanga,First Lady Siaya County;we visited Ukwala Ward-Siaya County to meet the Caregivers/parents and sensitize them on good upbringing of every Child.
We also had a spot check at Ukwala Sub county Hospital to check on the state and progress of implementation of Nurturing Care in the facility.
