Smart Start Siaya was privileged to be part and have a booth during the two days 5th Summit Meeting for the Lake Region Economic Bloc at The KMTC, Siaya Campus on the 14th and 15th Jan. .
We showcased this noble and unique campaign which aims at ensuring the children are well nurtured to develop to their full potential through responsive caregiving, Adequate Nutrition, Safety and Security, Opportunities to early learning and Good health. We interacted with a good of number of delegates who visited our stand to know more on this.
The team encouraged the male on their involvement in the caring for the young ones as a noble act of responsive caregiving.
They were happy to note how simple it was to be a responsive caregiver and the benefits attached to it.
Every visitor to our stand commended the work and encouraged more efforts to be put to warrant a prospective life to all children.
We gave out series of IEC materials with simple information on the best practices in the nurturing care for the Early Childhood Development.
LREB was created to act as an agency that would drive the development agendas of the Western Kenya counties.It constitutes Kakamega, Kisumu, Bungoma, Homa Bay, Busia, Bomet, Siaya, Nyamira, Migori, Kisii and Vihiga counties.
