Proper nurturing care is fundamental in the early Child development.
This means that good plan of giving birth is key for the potential growth for the young ones.
For this reason, we took part in the siaya county Teenage pregnancy TWG meeting as a move of ensuring zero tolerance to teenage pregnancy.
The meeting was officially opened by H.E Rosella Rasanga, First Lady and the ECD patron Siaya County who on her remarks expressed delight on the multisectoral approach in cubing the malady of teenage pregnancy and encouraged the expansion of players for the positive realization of a well nurtured fully developed children.
There is high rise of young -school going girls getting pregnant at tender ages when they can’t take care of their children apart from disruptions in their academics.
They get exposed to a lot of risks; the children don’t get the necessary care and end up malnourished among other disasters of improper care-giving.
Most times the fathers of the children who are the perpetrators are not able to provide the needed supports apart from being at large when need by law enforcers after impregnating the girls.
Some cultures, religion, poverty, irresponsible parenting among other bad practices have encouraged negligence that end up increasing the Teenage pregnancies.
For the society to realize the benefits of best nurturing care for ECD, there needs to be set standards and 100% mitigating approaches of the teenage pregnancy.
A task force to implement on the action plans was formed.
