To reach their full potential, children need the five components of nurturing care: good health, adequate nutrition, safety and security, responsive caregiving and opportunities for learning.
For this reason, today we had an opportunity of attending ECDE graduation at Segere Primary School, Central Alego Ward,Siaya County.
There was a total of 70(32 boys & 38 girls) graduates for the PP2 class this year who shall all be proceeding to grade 1 next year.
We noticed that the teachers and caregivers are by all means doing a lot in ensuring the best for the young ones.
With the package of the Nurturing care for ECD; parents/caregivers, teachers and all the visitors were sensitized on the importance of a society where each person is involved in the well-being of the child.
Bills and development budgets need to be in place to equip and sustain optimal environment for the children’s learning and development.
There were enough refreshments for the young ones courtesy of the first Lady H.E Rosella Rasanga the ECD patron Siaya.
